Have you been sitting on a writing project for months, years, or decades, and know NOW is the time to finally write it? Have a bunch of notes, writings or chapters, and don’t know how to put it together?
Solo Showdown Epic Creation is a 3-month workshop facilitated by internationally acclaimed comedian Alicia Dattner. With a group of high-caliber, like-minded creatives, we’ll use a combination of visioning, group readings and feedback, and co-editing to complete your project. You will go from having the seed of an idea to participating in a public online reading of your completed project. (That’s how we make sure it gets done!)

Workshop Structure: What will we do together?
MONTH 1 – WRITING
- Embodiment practices to breathe life into your creative process, your body, and your body of work
- Clarify your vision and what it makes possible
- Create an end-goal for your project
- Process emotional and mental blocks to creation
- Outline the sections
MONTH 2 – EDITING
- Explore themes
- Expand threads and through-lines
- Order the writings
- Edit the writings
MONTH 3 – HONING
- Expand dialogue and character
- Find openings for humor
- Co-edit / trade reading and giving feedback in real time
- Have an online reading (we’ll do this as a group)
- Receive appreciation and look at next steps
